Trey received his mission call on Wednesday, February 11, 2009. His call came from President Thomas S. Monson, President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He is called to labor in the Fukuoka Japan Mission and report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, March 25, 2009.He opened his call at his home in Provo, Utah, surrounded by his family and friends. His brother Charlie helped him read his letter. Trey wanted to serve in Japan for some time and was very happy to be asked to serve there.
He has been practicing his Hirigana and Katakana. He hasn't started working on Conji yet. His Japanese class from high school has really helped. He is able to read a small amount in his Japanese Book of Mormon.
Japan sounds like a pretty good assignment to me--so much great food and all the latest technology too!
