Trey's First Letter Home to the Robinson Kazoku (Family)

Oh, Happy Day! We got our first letter from our missionary :D!
First, just a few details.
  • Trey's companion is Elder Wilson, a tall fellow from Washington state, and is very shy.
  • He also shares a room with Elders Brox and Elder Warner, they're 'pretty cool'
  • They do NOT call each other Elder, apparently the Japanese term is: Robinson san of Robinson chorro meaning ELDER (Elder is a shorter greeting)
  • He had dinner with Elder Garrick Burden his first night in the MTC (a friend from our Vegas days who left for the Guatamala MTC on Tuesday, March 31, 2009) GO ELDER BURDEN! You are in our prayers.
  • He also saw his friend Troy Cressman, who will be serving in Italy
Trey reports ". . . the Japanese language is easy so far . . . and the first three days were really hard, physically, emotionally, and spiritually draining. It is getting much better and I like it. The guys in my district are lots of fun and we quote movies a lot, mostly Dumb and Dumber. My testimony is going great" (just a what a parent loves to hear).

Can you believe it -- one week closer to Japan!
